It wasn't that it was a bad game from the team, Steamboat Springs High School girls soccer coach Rob Bohlmann said Tuesday.

The Sailors went on the road to beat Summit 2-0, remaining undefeated on the season and notching a fourth shutout in their 6-0 record.

It was that, after the squad scored a thrilling goal the first 40 seconds, it lacked a bit of the aggressiveness that defined Steamboat early this season.

"We didn't stop playing, but subconsciously, a goal in 38 seconds, it felt like, 'Here we go,'" Bohlmann said. "We lacked the urge you have to play within a game. The rest of the half, we were OK, but we lacked that bit of hunger in attacking."

The Sailors got that first goal from Delaney Moon. She provided the foot at the end of a quick offensive surge that included five players.

The team didn't score again until the second half, however, when Natalie Bohlmann put away a pass from Maggie Henry, scoring while working against falling snow blown by a stiff wind.

Steamboat, meanwhile, was stellar on defense, thanks, in part, to a strong game from Ellese Lupori at center back.

"We did better in the second half," Bohlmann said. "The girls did a nice job, but we need to learn to adjust, how to respond when it's not happening how we'd like it to.

"This was one of those games that's going to make us stronger."
