Since arriving in Steamboat Springs in June 1990, journalist John F. Russell has held positions as sports editor, photographer and reporter, covering topics ranging from health and human services to business.

A 1990 journalism school graduate of the University of Colorado, John has spent the past 30 years telling the stories of Steamboat, Hayden and Oak Creek.

Rylan followed in his father’s footsteps, attending the University of Colorado, where he is pursuing a degree in English.
