Steamboat Springs — Alvin Skiles wrote last week concerning the 20 percent price increase for over-70 senior skiers by the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. The price increase is their prerogative, of course, but because they are operating on U.S. Forest Service lands, it seems only reasonable and fair to see a 20 percent increase in their lease fees next year. I recommend all of us venerable old skiers contact our senators Michael Bennet and Cory Gardner urging said fee increase.
