— Each summer, a variety of artists pack up a year's worth of work and hit the road.

In Colorado, the national festival promoter Howard Alan Events will have its 2016 summer tour of juried art festivals throughout the state, including the Yampa River Fine Arts Stroll.

The tour will begin July 23 at the 14th annual Downtown Aspen Art Festival. It will continue with the Keystone River Run Village Art Festival, the 29th annual Beaver Creek Art Festival, the 10th anniversary Main Street to the Rockies Art Festival in downtown Frisco and finally, Steamboat’s Yampa River Fine Art Stroll on Aug. 20 and Aug. 21.

In addition to showcasing the work of some of the finest artists in the country, the festivals will also feature top artists from Colorado. For the event in Steamboat, well-known local artists will also be featured.

Howard Alan Events is a Florida-based company that develops and presents art and craft shows throughout the country at more than 40 venues each year.

For this summer’s Colorado tour, the company will hand pick the artists and crafters by way of a jury process, overseen by an independent panel of judges. Selections are based on the artists’ unique quality and diversity, according a news release.
