2:22 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious person near South Lincoln Avenue and Mount Werner Road. A man was running eastbound in the street, and he reportedly jumped out at someone as they drove by. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

5:48 a.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a person in the 900 block of Pine Grove Circle. An elderly woman was reportedly wandering in the parking lot all night, and she had no memory of the evening. Officers located the woman and released her to her family.

9:55 a.m. Officers were called to a report of theft in the 2300 block of Ski Time Square. A mountain bike was stolen from a vehicle rack.

10 a.m. Officers received a report of an animal bite on Blackmere Drive. A caller reported that two weeks ago an off-leash black lab attacked the caller’s dog.

10:14 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a car doing donuts in the area of mile marker 62 on Colorado Highway 131. A deputy could not find the car, but the deputy contacted a man. The man was carrying a box with a kitten inside that the man found along the road. The deputy started driving the kitten to the animal shelter but called for help because the deputy was having a hard time controlling the kitten. The kitten would not stop crawling around the deputy’s head. The kitten then settled down and took a nap in the deputy’s lap.

2:30 p.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of an overdose in the 2600 block of Après Ski Way. A man overdosed on alcohol and other controlled substances. He was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that prohibited him from consuming alcohol and controlled substances.

7:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person at West Lincoln Park. A man in a black coat was walking in circles and smoking something. Officers were familiar with the man, and they spoke to him and determined everything was fine.

9:15 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at a restaurant in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue. Staff at a neighboring business reported there were three people on the roof. The people were allowed to be there.

10 p.m. Officers saw a suspicious vehicle at a business on the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue. It belonged to an employee conducting inventory.
