Time to kick back at Hayden Daze

Zip lining, cornhole, live music and beer are returning to Hayden Friday and Saturday for the annual Hayden Daze.

The community event is for all ages, and Hayden recreation coordinator Jill Delay hopes it provides a chance for some needed rest and relaxation for the local firefighters who have been battling the Mill Creek Fire burning 13 miles to the northeast.

"It's just a good time to come and hang out," Delay said.

All the events except for the parade and breakfast take place at Dry Creek Park.

Things kick off at 6 p.m. Friday with the opening of the beer garden.

"Cheapest beer in town," Delay said. "Three bucks a pop."
