Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:47 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a person sleeping at a laundromat in the 2100 block of Curve Court.

1:10 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a sick person in the 1400 block of Mark Twain Lane.



1:41 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who heard noise that sounded like a bear in the first block of Sequoia Court. No bear could be found.

3:35 a.m. Officers were called to a report of two employees who got into a fight in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Police were following up on the incident.



8 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an ongoing problem with a bear getting into a dumpster in the first block of Sequoia Court.

8:18 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 300 block of South Shelton Lane.

9:04 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a 66-year-old woman who died in the 2900 block of Après Ski Way. Her death was not suspicious.

9:38 a.m. Officers were called to a report of two rings worth about $3,000 lost somewhere in Steamboat.

9:48 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 2900 block of Abbey Road who had unauthorized charges on a credit card.

11:37 a.m. Officers were called to a report of panhandlers in the 500 block of Marketplace Plaza. They were given a written warning.

11:52 a.m. Officers were called to a report of medications stolen from a condo in the 300 block of Ore House Plaza.

12:51 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the block of Lincoln Avenue at the Yampa River. A male was seen smoking marijuana, was building a four-foot-tall structure with rocks and was yelling at people. Officers observed the man speaking with people at the river, but there was no evidence of marijuana consumption.

4:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a $5,000 custom, one-of-a-kind mountain bike missing from a bike shop in the 1100 block of Yampa Street.

7:14 p.m. Officers contacted a drunken man at the police station parking lot.

7:58 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person having a seizure in the 700 block of Marketplace Plaza.

9:47 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear wandering around a woman’s backyard in the 2500 block of Melrose Lane. The woman was concerned her husband would encounter the bear when he came home. The bear could not be located.
