Police, fire and ambulance calls

9:17 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a truck that was damaged in the 1800 block of Kamar Plaza. A window on the truck was cracked, but police said it didn’t appear as though anyone intentionally damaged it. Police suspect the damage was the result of cold temperatures.

1:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man who was stumbling around near traffic at Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue. Police couldn’t find the man.

2:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who was bitten by a dog in the 700 block of Amethyst Drive.

3:53 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone in Steamboat who noticed an unauthorized charge on his or her credit card.

7:47 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people shooting fireworks at a Steamboat Springs Transit bus at Tamarack Drive and Hilltop Parkway. Police could not locate the suspects.

8:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who tore down Christmas lights and damaged other lights at a lodge he was staying at in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police arrested the man on suspicion of criminal mischief.

10:05 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a man who was acting suspicious and screaming while holding a long metal rod in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. Police said the man was upset and frustrated because he was having a hard time putting on a knee brace. The metal rod he was holding was part of the brace.
