Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:07 a.m. Someone found a wallet and turned it into the Steamboat Springs Police Department. Officers haven’t found the owner yet.

1:03 a.m. A wallet was found on a city bus and was turned in to the Steamboat Spring Police Department. The wallet owner has been contacted by officers.

1:35 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a theft at a business in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. Initially, it was called in as an attempted stolen Christmas tree, but when officers arrived, they learned everything was fine and the purchasers had permission to take it.

2:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of two skiers crashing into each other at Steamboat Ski Area. Officers took a report.

3:03 p.m. Officers were called to an identity theft report in the 700 block of Walton Pond Circle. Someone was using someone else’s credit card to make purchases out of state. A report was made.

5:15 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a theft at a bar in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. The theft reportedly happened the previous day. Someone reported that their coat was stolen while attending a Christmas party at the establishment. Officers are trying to contact a person of interest in the case.

6:13 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noise complaint in the 1400 block of Morgan Court. Someone who came to town for the holidays was being loud. Officers mediated the situation.

6:42 p.m. Someone came into the Steamboat Springs Police Department to report receiving numerous unwanted phone calls. The person wanted only to have a report made and did not wish to press charges.

7:41 p.m. Officers were called to a report of trespassing in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. The report ended up in an arrest for harassment on domestic violence charges.

8:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 400 block of Oak Street. A transient woman was knocking on someone’s door asking to use their restroom. Officers gave the woman a voucher for a room for the night, and she’s on her way out of town.
