Police, fire and ambulance calls

8:07 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious car at Hillside Drive and Storm Peak Court. A man had come up to visit from Boulder but did not have a place to stay, so he stayed in his car. He was intoxicated, and there were open containers of alcohol in his car.

8:56 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a $700 snowboard stolen from a bar the previous night in the 2000 block of Ski Time Square Drive.

9:44 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a Steamboat Springs High School staff member who had concerns about an 18-year-old female student being high, even though she had a medical marijuana card.

10:07 a.m. Officers were called to a report of construction vehicles on the road at Pine Grove Road and Bangtail Way. They were gone when officers arrived.

11:34 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a boy who was nauseous and breathing rapidly at Hayden Valley Elementary School.

12:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of between $700 and $800 worth of cable equipment taken from a vehicle about three weeks ago in the 3000 block of Columbine Drive.

12:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 1800 block of Hunters Drive who had a fraudulent charge for $1,500 on a credit card.

1:06 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who fell at Haymaker Golf Course.

2:46 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a brown wallet with a New Mexico driver’s license found at Fifth and Yampa Streets.

2:55 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a phone scam in the 600 block of Pine Street.

3:57 p.m. Officers contacted a group of juveniles at Sixth and Oak streets while trying to find a truant student.

4:19 p.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help with a gas leak in the 200 block of East Main Street.

7:10 p.m. Officers were called to report of a phone scam in the 1400 block of Moraine Circle.

10:22 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a loud noise and people setting off fireworks in the 700 block of Walton Pond Circle.

10:24 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who fainted at a hotel in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle.

11:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people on a deck who were being loud and playing loud music in the 1700 block of Latigo Loop.

11:18 p.m. Routt County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a report of an assault in the 1100 block of West Jefferson Avenue in Hayden. A man said he got in a fight with a man, who pulled a knife and "shanked him." The 18-year-old man who got stabbed was driven to Yampa Valley Medical Center by his mother. Steamboat police spoke to the man and learned he was drunk with a blood alcohol content of 0.46. He had a court order that forbid him from drinking alcohol and was taken to jail after being taken to detox. Police also learned the man was not stabbed, but he fell into glass. Earlier this month, the man was arrested because police thought he was hallucinating and high on methamphetamine when he called police to report his home was being burglarized. There was no burglar.
