Police, fire and ambulance calls
5:29 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of an injured elk at Lincoln Avenue and Dream Island Plaza. The elk went up the hill. Wildlife officials are monitoring the elk.
10:19 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who got bit by a dog two weeks ago in the 400 block of Emerald Court.
11:01 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at Yampa Valley Medical Center. The hospital received a package containing medications and a bullet casing. Officers learned the hospital had ordered the medications from a pharmaceutical company. It was suspected the casing got lodged in the box accidentally at some point while being shipped.
12:41 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a red mountain bike found a couple months ago at a church in the 800 block of Dougherty Road.
3:42 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that drove past a school bus stop sign at Steamboat Springs High School. After looking at surveillance video, it could not be determined whether the car actually drove past the stop sign.

5:13 p.m. Officers were called to check on a man who was screaming at people at the Gondola Transit Center. The man was suffering from some mental health issues. He was given a hotel room and arrangements were made to have him catch a bus to Denver on Friday.
5:48 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person driving erratically at 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
8:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person missing from the 1500 block of Red Hawk Court. A man let his roommate borrow his truck. The roommate was just going to be gone a couple of hours and was reported missing when he did not show up a day later. At about 3 a.m. Friday, the roommate sent a text saying he got stuck in snow while driving up Chimney Rock Road in Grand County. Deputies in Grand County found the man Friday morning and brought him back to Steamboat. It was not clear why the man was driving on the road.
11:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who was having a difficult time canceling a gym membership. The woman said she canceled the membership and still was being charged. The woman claimed someone fraudulently wrote her initials on a part of the membership contract that allowed for automatic billing.
