Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:48 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear near trash in the 1700 block of Central Park Drive. It could not be located.

1:55 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in the 1700 block of Central Park Drive. It was scared away.

2:13 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person at Lincoln Avenue and Indian Trails. A woman was given a ride home.

2:14 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a TV on fire in the middle of the road on Pahwintah Street.

7:08 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man flipping people off in the 1100 block of South Lincoln Avenue. He could not be located.

7:37 a.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a person in the 2900 block of Mountaineer Circle. The person was fine.

8:32 a.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with a head injury at Steamboat Lake.

8:42 a.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with a medical problem in the 100 block of South Grant Avenue.

10:51 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person cutting down cottonwood trees along the Yampa River. A person was contacted and told to clean up the mess.

11:48 a.m. North Routt firefighters were called to help a sick person in the 28400 block of Routt County Road 209A.

12:10 p.m. Steamboat Spring Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help an elderly person who stopped breathing after being stung by a bee. The person was given CPR and resumed breathing after being given Benadryl. The person was expected to recover.

1 p.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment involving a former couple who was arguing over a dog in the 300 block of Ore House Plaza. Police mediated the situation.

2:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of lost soccer equipment at Ski Town Park.

3:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a lost wallet on Logan Street.

4:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a purse taken from a shopping cart at a business in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

5:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man loitering and possibly propositioning younger females at a business in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. He could not be located.

7:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of person who was receiving unwanted text messages in the 200 block of Anglers Drive.

8:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of loud noise at a bar in the 700 block of Yampa Street. A woman on the Yampa River Core Trail heard an obnoxious, drunken man yelling on a bullhorn. Police could not hear any noise.

8:50 p.m. Officers were called to a report of possible bear cub in distress in the 600 block of Meadowbrook Circle. It was a neighbor's old dog that got stuck down a hill. Police helped the dog up the hill.

11:42 p.m. Officers contacted a suspicious car in the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue. The males under 21 years old were given summonses for consuming marijuana. They were told to leave their car and go home.
