Police, fire and ambulance calls

2:03 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called of a report of a bear that knocked over a trash can at Fish Creek Trailer Park. The bear was gone before officers arrived.

1 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a young red cow calf that had wandered from its home and into the caller’s hayfield on Routt County Road 22. The caller said the calf wasn’t bothering anyone, but they were concerned about it being separated from the other cows.

1:31 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet that was found at 11th and Oak streets. Police still had the wallet on Monday afternoon.

2:58 p.m. A person stopped by the police department to report a disagreement about a vehicle title that was involved in a recent sale.

5:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a hit and run at Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue. A person thought a motor home hit their parked vehicle. Police could not find any damage to the vehicle.

9:28 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District emergency responders were called to a report of a single-vehicle rollover on U.S. Highway 40 four miles east of Hayden. The 28-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and killed. The woman’s 4-year-old child was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center with minor injuries. The driver was not wearing her seatbelt.

10:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone stealing something from the garden center at Walmart. Police determined the person wasn’t stealing anything. They had purchased the items.
