7:34 a.m. A white Ford F-350 was traveling northbound on Colorado Highway 131 just past the entrance to Catamount Lake, when the driver lost control on a curve and went straight off the road, down an embankment, through a fence and into a field. He was not injured. Two witnesses who were following him told the Colorado State Patrol that the driver was swerving all over the road. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. He was taking pain medication and said he lost control because of a sudden, stinging pain.
8:20 a.m. Construction workers called police to Copper Ridge Circle where they noticed an old, broken television and computer thrown in the cul-de-sac. They also noticed an unfamiliar truck there. Police found the truck’s owner and determined he was not associated with the smashed items.
9:19 a.m. A resident of the 300 block of Oak Street reported that someone had dumped trash that didn’t belong to him into his trash can.
9:29 a.m. A Curve Market employee reported $500 stolen from the market’s office. By the time police arrived, $400 had been accounted for. Police are waiting to see if the remaining $100 will be found.
12:17 p.m. An ambulance was requested for a man in his 30s having a seizure at Yampa Valley Regional Airport.
3:35 p.m. A woman was transported to the hospital from the 1100 block of Yampa Street.
5:09 p.m. A vehicle drove off the edge of Fish Creek Falls Road, near the corner of Amethyst Drive. No one was injured, and alcohol was not involved.
9:48 p.m. A man was using an automated teller maching in Torian Plum Plaza when a man walked up behind him, punched him and ran. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the assailant.
