Police, fire and ambulance calls

12 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear in the first block of Telemark Court. It was scared away.

12:23 a.m. Officers attempted to contact a man for violating a protection order, and the man fled at Sixth Street and Lincoln Avenue. The 32-year-old man was later arrested for obstruction of a peace officer and violation of a protection order.

8:35 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a black SUV speeding at 60 mph through town. It could not be located.

8:35 a.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a 19-year-old man who had possibly overdosed on marijuana edibles.

9:53 a.m. Officers were called to a report of yard lights broken in the 200 block of Blue Safe Circle.

10:33 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person hitchhiking in at Walton Creek Road and Whistler Road. The person could not be located.

11:24 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with a 60-year-old man who had suffered a head injury while cycling at the Howelsen Hill BMX park.

12:53 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person receiving harassing text messages in the first block of Cypress Court.

1:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was jumped at a parking lot in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. A 37-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of harassment.

6:06 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bus driver who heard a threatening comment.

7:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at Colorado Mountain College. A possibly transient man approached and began a conversation with a janitor. The man could not be located.

9:36 p.m. Officers were called to a report of parking signs having been moved at Yampa and Seventh streets.

10:58 p.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who had possibly attempted suicide.

11:35 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people camping and being loud in an empty lot at Routt Street and Fairview Drive.
