Friday, April 21

1:48 a.m. A man near 13th Street and Lincoln Avenue reported seeing a suspicious man with a backpack peering into a pickup. The man was gone when officers arrived.

4:20 a.m. Someone reported loud construction work near Fourth and Aspen streets. The construction workers were told to shut down.

8:36 a.m. A man in the 1300 block of Indian Trails reported someone breaking a business window and stealing something from the business. The incident is under investigation.

9:05 a.m. Someone reported a suspicious vehicle in the 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue.

10:41 a.m. A theft and vandalism were reported in the first block of Maple Street.

1:58 p.m. A woman’s purse was stolen from a shopping cart in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

2:20 p.m. Someone reported a brush fire in the 45000 block of Routt County Road 129. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

2:43 p.m. A landlord and tenant were arguing in the 3300 block of Meadow Lane. Officers mediated the situation.

3:10 p.m. A teenager was driving fast up and down Locust Court. Officers were not able to find the teen.

3:16 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury, hit-and-run accident was reported in Steamboat.

3:33 p.m. A theft was reported in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

5:57 p.m. Two dogs were reported running loose near Third Street and Lincoln Avenue.

7:50 p.m. A man reported someone breaking into his home in the 400 block of Yampa Street. Officers contacted the man and found that there was a misunderstanding not a burglary.

7:54 p.m. Someone reported fireworks near Whistler Village.

8:38 p.m. A 45-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving, possessing marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia near Lincoln Avenue and Indian Trails.

9:43 p.m. Someone reported being bitten by a dog in Yampa.
