12:29 a.m. Someone made a noise complaint about loud music in the 3000 block of Village Drive.
12:45 a.m. A man reported trespassing at Steamboat Ski Area. Steamboat Springs police said people were sledding on the lower mountain and asked to leave. Police said that although the upper area of the mountain is U.S. Forest Service land, the lower mountain is Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. property and that people cannot be there “after hours.”
7:11 a.m. A man reported a motor vehicle accident on Routt County Road 67, about 20 miles southwest of Hayden near the Indian Run State Wildlife Area. A 19-year-old drove a black pickup off the road, rolling the truck. An 18-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver suffered serious injuries, including a broken leg.
10:00 a.m. A Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputy made an arrest in Steamboat.
10:57 a.m. A woman reported vandalism in the 1600 block of Pine Grove Road. A window of a bus stop shelter was broken.
1:01 p.m. A man reported a suspicious vehicle in the 1400 and 1500 blocks of Eagle Glen Lane.
2:21 p.m. A man made a vehicle complaint in the 800 block of Weiss Drive. Police were unable to locate a vehicle that was reportedly driving too fast.
2:59 p.m. A noise complaint was made about loud music on the 2700 block of Eagle Ridge Drive.
3:10 p.m. A man reported a gas skip in the 900 block of Weiss Drive. Police said they have no vehicle information.
5:07 p.m. A drunk driver was reported on U.S. Highway 40 near Milner.
5:55 p.m. A man reported threats on Routt County Road 131 three miles south of Phippsburg.
6:47 p.m. Someone made a noise complaint in Phippsburg.
10:47 p.m. A fire caused by a liquid spill was reported in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. Police said a vehicle was leaking fuel because of an unreported accident earlier in the day at Dream Island. A juvenile was cited in the accident.
