2:02 a.m. A 45-year-old Craig man was taken to the hospital with broken ribs, scrapes and bruises after he lost control of the semi truck he was driving on Routt County Road 27 and slid down an embankment, rolling the vehicle onto its driver’s side. The man was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. It is unknown whether drugs, alcohol or speeding were factors in the accident.

2:05 a.m. A fight was reported in the 3400 block of Hiawatha Court. Officers were not able to find the people who were fighting.

7:09 a.m. A woman reported her car being stolen in the 800 block of Pahwintah Street.

9:43 a.m. An ambulance was requested in the 300 block of Seventh Street.

11:10 a.m. A construction trailer tipped over as workers were unloading equipment out of the truck’s bed on C.R. 36 near mile marker 3. Workers had righted the truck when officers arrived, and no damage was reported.

3:16 p.m. A 38-year-old Steamboat Springs man driving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado hit a 1995 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 40-year-old-woman on Lincoln Avenue as the woman was preparing to turn onto 10th Street. Police said the man swerved into the far westbound lane before crossing two lanes of traffic and running into the woman’s turn lane. Both people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

3:40 p.m. A 54-year-old woman was found dead at her home in the 1100 block of Redwoods Drive.

4:10 p.m. A theft was reported in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza.

4:44 p.m. A loose dog was taken to the shelter from the 1200 block of Lincoln Avenue.

4:46 p.m. A woman reported a dog running loose in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The dog was gone when officers arrived.

6:29 p.m. A woman’s car caught fire near 10th Street and Lincoln Avenue. The fire was extinguished.

7:01 p.m. A man reported a disturbance near Sixth and Pine streets.

7:53 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue.

8:43 p.m. A 31-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

9:19 p.m. A controlled burn was reported on Colorado Highway 131 near the Lafarge gravel pit.

10:55 p.m. A controlled burn was reported in the 20000 block of C.R. 205.
