7:12 a.m. Someone reportedly was hitchhiking near Walton Creek Road and Lincoln Avenue. The person was gone when officers arrived.
8:17 a.m. A man reportedly found a blue Subaru “nose down” in a ditch on Elk River Road. No damage or injuries were reported.
8:38 a.m. Someone turned in a bicycle to the police department.
8:48 a.m. A single-engine Piper Meridian airplane slid off the runway at Steamboat Springs Airport. The pilot was not injured during the accident. There were no passengers on board at the time. Officials said patches of the runway were snowy and icy.
9:11 a.m. A Jeep reportedly was trying to pull a dump truck out of a ditch near Elk River Road and Lincoln Avenue. The truck was out of the ditch by the time police arrived.

10:20 a.m. A man in his 20s reportedly was trying to steal a car in the 2200 block of Elk River Road. Police contacted the man and warned him about trespassing.

5:31 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury, hit-and-run accident was reported in the 2100 block of Mount Werner Circle.
10:50 p.m. A liquor store salesperson in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive reportedly wanted a police officer to check the validity of an ID.
11:24 p.m. A man reported hearing loud music in the 1300 block of Athens Plaza.
11:25 p.m. A man reported hearing people talking loudly in the 1300 block of Athens Plaza.
