1 a.m. A 31-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, possessing drug paraphernalia and four other traffic offenses after he reportedly ran his car off the road in the 1800 block of Christie Drive. The man was not injured.
2:31 a.m. A drunken 26-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested on suspicion of unlawfully possessing a Schedule II controlled substance and possessing paraphernalia in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.
8:46 a.m. Two men reportedly were arguing about some survey work in the 1100 block of Hilltop Parkway.
8:46 a.m. A woman reported receiving harassing phone calls from a family member.
9:07 a.m. A man reportedly went to the hospital for detox. A police officer took the man to the jail for detox.
9:54 a.m. A woman reported receiving phone calls.
10:48 a.m. A dog reportedly was locked in a car without any water or the windows being rolled down near Eighth and Oak streets. The dog’s owner was cited for animal cruelty.
12:01 p.m. Several lights were broken out of a tunnel on the Yampa River Core Trail near Walton Creek Road. A report was taken.
2:24 p.m. A woman reported a skateboard hitting her car. A group of skateboarders near the woman’s car was given a warning.
3:31 p.m. A 21-year-old Russian man was arrested on suspicion of stealing food from a grocery store in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.
3:50 p.m. A stolen skateboard was returned to its owner in the 1100 block of Yampa Street.
4:11 p.m. Several people reported a woman speeding, weaving and driving erratically on U.S. Highway 40 near Anglers Drive. A Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputy contacted the 23-year-old Montana woman near Yampa and arrested her on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving and reckless endangerment. Police said the arrest did not involve a police chase.
4:36 p.m. A woman reportedly lost control of her car on Colorado Highway 131 south of Yampa and rolled it. The woman was not injured.
5:25 p.m. A set of car keys was found in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.
8:45 p.m. A woman reported a group of people fighting in the 800 block of Yampa Street. The group was gone when officers arrived.
8:59 p.m. A single lightning strike set a cottonwood tree on fire in the 47000 block of Routt County Road 129 near Clark. Only one tree burned, firefighters said. No other damage or injuries were reported.
9:09 p.m. A 28-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested near Fifth and Yampa streets on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to signal and unsafe lane change.
9:21 p.m. A gas leak was reported in the 200 block of Anglers Drive.
11:08 p.m. A drunken person reportedly was walking along C.R. 35. The person was gone when officers arrived.
11:48 p.m. A drunken person was taken to detox from near Lincoln Avenue and Old Fish Creek Falls Road.
