Friday, Feb. 8
1:58 a.m. A vehicle complaint was received from the 2900 block of AprÃs Ski Way, where a car was stuck in a driveway. The vehicle was gone when Steamboat Springs police arrived.
2:19 a.m. A vehicle complaint was received from the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue, where a parked semitrailer was obstructing snowplow operations. The truck was moved.
7:01 a.m. A reckless driver was reported at U.S. Highway 40 and Dream Island Plaza, where a driver was speeding, weaving and flipping off other drivers. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
7:40 a.m. A reckless driver was reported in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue, where a car was cutting people off and nearly causing accidents. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
8:27 a.m. A burglar alarm went off in the 36800 block of Tree Haus Drive. Everything was fine.
10:01 a.m. A snowboard found in the street at Steamboat Boulevard and Mount Werner Road was turned in to the Steamboat Springs Police Department.
10:46 a.m. Police assisted a motorist at 13th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
11 a.m. Two snowboards were reported stolen from a rack in Gondola Square. Police took a report.
11:46 a.m. A purse was reported stolen in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The purse was located in a shopping cart with nothing missing.
12:21 p.m. A stolen vehicle was reported in the 400 block of Blue Bell Court. The vehicle may have been taken by a friend, police said. An investigation is pending.
1:57 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported in the 1100 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Police issued a citation.
1:59 p.m. Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted a motorist near mile marker 9 on C.R. 14.
3:33 p.m. A two-vehicle, hit-and-run accident was reported in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue. There were no injuries. Police took a report.
5:40 p.m. Police were asked to perform a welfare check on a person in the 300 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Police were unable to locate the person.
4:47 p.m. Police assisted a motorist at Anglers Drive and U.S. 40.
7 p.m. A carbon monoxide alarm went off in the 400 block of Eighth Street. Everything was fine.
7:31 p.m. A wallet found at 10th Street and Lincoln Avenue was turned in to the Steamboat Springs Police Department.
8:18 p.m. Police assisted a motorist at Pine Grove Road and Central Park Drive.
