Steamboat Springs — Nearly 100 local golfers hit area courses last weekend as the annual City Golf Championships took center stage.
In the end, Steamboat’s Steve Dodson was standing on top of the men’s Championships flight and Paula Stephenson had won the women’s title.
“From a tournament standpoint this was probably the strongest field we have had to date,” Haymaker professional Hank Franks said.
“Each flight was extremely competitive.”
The tournament took place at all three local courses including the Steamboat Golf Club, Sheraton Steamboat Golf Club and Haymaker golf course.
The tournament opened Friday and Saturday with the field divided between the Steamboat and Sheraton clubs. The event concluded Sunday at Haymaker.
