The Pony Express chairlift, providing access to the ski area’s Pioneer Ridge terrain, is scheduled to open today.

Former Olympian Nelson Carmichael hosts a free bumps clinic at 1 p.m. today. Meet at the 4 Points sign near the top of the Nelson’s Run trail.

Forecast
As of 5 a.m., it was 15 degrees at mid-mountain. Today’s high is supposed to reach the mid-20s under partly cloudy skies.
The next chance of snow comes Christmas Eve, with a fresh coat of powder possible for Christmas Day skiing.
Avalanche danger has been downgraded to moderate in the backcountry. Human-triggered slides remain possible, particularly on northwest to east aspects.
