Steamboat projects in need of votes to receive grants

Steamboat Today

— ■ Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports is in need of votes to help the nonprofit organization win a $10,000 donation from Constant Contact. Supporters can vote once per day at http://www.bit.ly/13MgsbR through Friday. STARS would use the funds to provide additional programming for clients with autism, cognitive and physical disabilities, and Wounded Warriors.

■ The Bear River Bike Park project in west Steamboat is one of four pump track project finalists and 12 overall finalists for a Bell Built bike grant. The projects voted most deserving in each category — pump track, flow trail and downhill trail — earn a share of the $100,000 prize. The Steamboat project currently is in second place. Vote for the project at http://www.facebook.com/BellBikeHelmets/app_228716427271717. Voting ends Friday.
