Steamboat briefs: zSpace bus to visit middle school; open to community 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday







The zSpace bus is coming to Steamboat Springs Middle School parking lot Wednesday and Thursday, May 3 and 4, so students, teachers, administrators and the community can experience zSpace technology first hand.

zSpace is a powerful new 3-D technology that is being introduced into K-12 education.

Community members are invited to experience zSpace technology during open time slots from 3:50 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

Northwest Colorado Health to host Hospice volunteer training offered May 18, 19

Northwest Colorado Health will host a hospice certification training for individuals interested in volunteering their time to support hospice patients and families in Routt, Moffat or Grand counties. The training will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 18 and 19 at The Haven Community Center in Hayden, 300 South Shelton Lane. A light breakfast and lunch will be served.

The two-day training and a one-year commitment are required to be a hospice volunteer. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available, including helping hospice patients and families with errands, meal preparation and light household tasks or sharing hobbies and interests. Steamboat Chamber Resort Association seeks volunteers for Steamboat Marathon

The Steamboat Chamber Resort Association is seeking volunteers for the Steamboat Marathon from June 2 to June 4. Shifts are available Friday and Saturday at race registration, as well as race day Sunday. All volunteers will receive a T-shirt and lunch. Visit steamboatchamber.com/volunteer for information.

Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup needs volunteer judges for car show in June

The Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup is seeking volunteers to judge the June 17 Show 'n' Shine car show in downtown Steamboat Springs. No experience is necessary. Judges must be available from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Each judge will be given a 2017 Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup T-shirt (sizes limited) and the opportunity to meet Mustang owners at the Friday evening hospitality meet-and-greet.
