Steamboat briefs: Volunteers are needed for Salvation Army bell-ringing

The holiday Salvation Army Kettle Campaign begins the day after Thanksgiving and runs through Christmas Eve. The Salvation Army again is looking for local volunteer bell ringers to take part in the community effort. Volunteers are needed for a one-hour commitment. Ninety percent of the funds raised by the bell-ringing campaign stay in Routt County and help people through LIFT-UP of Routt County's programs. Pasta 4 the People LIFT-UP fundraiser is at 6 p.m. Wednesday
LIFT-UP of Routt County's Pasta 4 the People fundraiser is at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. The event will feature a spaghetti dinner, live music from Premium Blend, children's activities and an ice cream sundae bar. Tickets are $10 for children and $25 for adults and may be purchased at LIFT-UP, Riggio's Ristorante, All That Jazz, Ski Haus and at the door. Operation Christmas Child boxes due Saturday evening
