Steamboat briefs: Rocky Mountain Youth Corps to host Moonshine Ski & Dine

Rocky Mountain Youth Corps will host its eighth annual Moonshine Ski & Dine event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Catamount Lake House and Touring Center. Guests will enjoy great food, drinks, a silent auction and world class cross-country skiing or snowshoeing under a full moon.
The cost is $50 per person, and all proceeds will benefit Yampa Valley Science School and Service Learning Corps, which serve more 300 Routt County youths annually, according to a news release.

315 drivers arrested for DUIs Super Bowl weekend
About 100 law enforcement agencies increased enforcement throughout the state to arrest 315 drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the Heat is On campain, which ran from Jan. 31 through Feb. 3.
Of those arrests, 148 took place on Super Bowl Sunday. The highest number of arrests during the enforcement period took place in Denver (40), Aurora (34) and Colorado Springs (21). The numbers are down considerably when compared to 2013, when 421 arrests were made.
