Steamboat briefs: Integrated Community set to host dinner, movie event







Integrated Community will host its Dinner & a Movie fundraiser beginning at 5:30 p.m. May 19 at Cugino's Italian Restaurant and continuing at at the Chief Theater with a 7 p.m. cocktail hour, followed by the movie at 8.

This year's movie will be "Frontera," which stars Ed Harris, Eva Longoria and Michael Pene and tells the story of a former Arizona sheriff whose wife is killed while riding on their ranch property.

Tickets are $30 and are available from Integrated Community staff and board members. Funds raised will be used to support Integrated Community's work.

Steamboat seeks proposals from painting contractors

The city of Steamboat Springs is seeking proposals from qualified painting contractors to paint and/or stain various city facilities.

Proposals must be submitted to City Hall offices, 137 10th Street, P.O. Box 775088, Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, Attention: Shelly St. Pierre no later than 5 p.m. May 16.

The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids and proposals and enter into a contract or issue a purchase order which, in its opinion, best serves the needs of the city and its residents.
