Artists, sponsors sought for The Bust of Steamboat

— Organizers of The Bust of Steamboat are accepting sponsors and artists to create unique bra designs for a live auction during this year’s event, from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at Three Peaks Bar & Grill. All the money raised stays in Routt and Moffat counties, to help uninsured and underinsured women to pay for mammograms and annual wellness exams, and to assist in breast cancer treatment costs. Routt County weight loss challenge under way

The Routt County Weight Loss Competition is under way and meets at 6 p.m. Tuesdays at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. Participants receive personalized weekly, one-on-one coaching in this fun 12-week program. A portion of the $39 entry fee benefits http://www.gofitkids.org, along with prizes to the “biggest losers.” Call 871-0866.

Volunteers needed for Balloon Rodeo

The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is seeking volunteers for the annual Hot Air Balloon Rodeo, from 5 to 10 a.m. July 12 and 13. No experience is necessary.
