VNA offering HPV vaccinations for women
Free HPV vaccinations are available to uninsured, low-income women ages 19 to 26, through the Merck Vaccine Patient Assistance program, at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association office at Yampa Valley Medical Center. HPV is the most common sexually transmitted disease and can lead to cervical cancer and other diseases.
Hepatitis vaccinations are available from the Colorado Department of Public Health at a reduced cost to adult clients with certain risk factors, such as multiple sex partners, recent sexually transmitted disease or other qualifying factors. Completing the vaccination series will provide lifelong protection against the most common types of hepatitis. The cost of the vaccinations will be on a sliding fee scale up to $14.
For all vaccinations, call the VNA at 879-1632 to learn if you qualify.
