Artists, sponsors needed for Bust of Steamboat auction
Organizers of The Bust of Steamboat are accepting sponsors and artists to create unique bra designs for a live auction during this year’s event, from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at Three Peaks Bar & Grill. To see past entries and auctions visit http://www.thebustofsteamboat.org. Sponsorships are a tax-deductible donation of $350 to the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project and include two tickets to the event. All the money raised stays in Routt and Moffat counties to help uninsured and under-insured women pay for mammograms and annual wellness exams and assist in breast cancer treatment costs. Volunteers needed for Balloon Rodeo in July
The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is seeking volunteers for the annual Hot Air Balloon Rodeo, from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. July 12 and 13. No experience necessary. Handball court now open in Steamboat Springs
Steamboat’s only outdoor handball court is open for the season. The court is at 1107 Lincoln Ave. Games are often Saturday and Sunday mornings. Call Randy Salky at 879-6200, ext. 13 for game schedules and details.
