Children’s Health Fair offers checkups in March
Several local agencies, including the Northwest Colorado Board of Cooperative Educational Services, are sponsoring the Children’s Health Fair next month. The fair is for children 4 months to 5 years old, and offers free vision and hearing screenings along with free assessments of language, cognition, physical and social development. To make an appointment for South Routt dates on March 10 and 11, call 736-2313. For Steamboat Springs dates on March 17 and 18, call 879-0391. For Hayden appointments on March 20, call 276-3750.
Routt County Extension seeks board members
The Routt County Cooperative Extension Office is seeking volunteers to serve on its advisory board. Board members assist the extension office in meeting the agriculture education needs of Routt County citizens. The board is made up of a variety of citizens that represent the County’s geography and specifically, in the areas of 4-H, Agriculture, and Consumer and Family Sciences.
Members are appointed by the Routt County Board of Commissioners. Terms are for three years, and the board typically meets two times a year.
