Scarves on sale to benefit breast cancer research
Steamboat Springs — Pink scarves to benefit breast cancer research and awareness are available at Epilogue Book Co., 837 Lincoln Ave., through Sunday. All profits help fund the Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Program and its fight against breast cancer. Call Jo at 846-2627.
Classical music airing on Yampa Valley radio
West Slope FM has announced that the classical music station WWFM, or 91.1, is back on the air in the Yampa Valley. After weeks of silence because of a change of satellite, Pat Arnone of Pearson Communications has helped devise a method by which the music can be received on local radios via the Internet for now and potentially by a satellite feed soon.
Free kits available to help have a healthy heart
The Heart Center of the Rockies is providing free “Heart Healthy Kits” for businesses, churches and other membership organizations. The kits include a tabletop sign and tablecloth, nutritional information sheets, Know Your Numbers Cards, a heart-healthy quiz and heart-healthy recipe cards.
