Arts council seeks festival volunteers through Sunday

The Steamboat Springs Arts Council is seeking volunteers for the All Arts Festival, which will take place from Monday through Sunday. County broadband meeting set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday

Routt County has selected the consulting firm NEO Fiber to provide broadband planning services on behalf of a consortium of public and nonprofit community partners. A public meeting that will provide an overview of the planning process will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Centennial Hall, 137 10th St. Community members are invited to attend and provide input on needs and concerns regarding broadband service availability within the county. Call 970-875-6001 for more information.

Wednesday's golf fundraiser to benefit cancer foundation

The 11th annual Prostate Cancer Golf Fundraiser will be held Wednesday at the Steamboat Golf Club in conjunction with the men's club. There will be a noon 18-hole shotgun start or a 5:30 p.m. nine-hole shotgun start. All men golfers are welcome. Non-members will pay $35 for 18 holes or $25 for nine holes.

Yampa Valley Singers start rehearsals 6:30 p.m. Tuesday

The Yampa Valley Singers will begin weekly rehearsals from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church of Steamboat Springs. Singers are encouraged to join this community choral group to prepare for the next concert to be held Nov. 6 and 7. For more information and to register with a $35 fee, call Ruth McClelland 879-2641.

Routt County Road 27 closed through 6 p.m. Monday

Routt County Road 27 will remain closed between Routt County Road 29 and Routt County Road 33 through 6 p.m. Monday due to a culvert replacement project. The detour route is C.R. 29 to C.R. 179 to C.R. 33, and it is marked with signage.

Hayden's The Haven is now accepting new residents

The Haven Assisted Living Center in Hayden is accepting new residents. The 20-bed, nonprofit assisted-living facility is owned and operated by the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association. Private and semi-private rooms are available. Services include meals, housekeeping, exercise classes and social activities. Additional amenities and care options are available. Medicaid is accepted. Civil Air Patrol hosts open house at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday

The Civil Air Patrol will host an open house from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bob Adams Airport in Steamboat Springs. Decorated veteran Tim Griggs will share his experiences flying Huey helicopter combat missions in Vietnam, and those who attend will also have the opportunity to learn about the Civil Air Patrol cadet program and senior program.

The cadet program focuses on aerospace, leadership, fitness and character and is open to boys and girls ages 12 to 18. Local senior membership focuses on emergency services. The event is open to the public.
