Steamboat adoptable pets: Sadie the dog and Nixon the cat

Sadie is a female, 3 1/2-year-old mixed breed who weighs about 65 pounds. The best guess on her breed is a mix of Rhodesian ridgeback and mountain cur. She is silly and fun with the staff at Routt County Humane Society and likes to jump around playfully. Going for long walks or hikes and smelling the flowers are some of Sadie’s favorite things to do, followed by long naps. Sadie is currently in focus training and is a fast learner. Small dogs are not her cup of tea, but belly rubs sure are. Sadie would like to be the only cutie in the house, so she can get some special one-on-one time with her new family.

Nixon is a male, 7-month-old, short-haired cat. He is a playful adolescent who loves the company of other cats. Nixon was found as a stray and was unsure of his place in this big world as a younger kitten and is now becoming more confident each day. His favorite pastime is taking long naps with his cat friends and playing with jingly ball toys. Give him a bit of time and patience and he will be your best friend in no time.
