Steamboat adoptable pets: Luna the dog and Squirt the cat

Luna is a sweet 10-month-old female Pitbull mix who came to Routt County Humane Society because her previous family felt they didn't have enough time to spend with this cutie and wanted to find her another home where she would be the center of someone's world. She currently weighs 40 pounds and we don't expect her to grow significantly bigger. Luna would love a home where she can play with other dogs and go for long hikes with the whole family. She is leash-trained, loves people and would be a great running partner. Luna is currently learning basic commands, is highly treat-motivated and is catching on quickly. This soft girl can't wait to lounge on the couch with you after a long day of adventures – come meet her today.

Squirt is a beautiful 8-month-old adolescent female cat weighing about 7 pounds who loves affection from people. She came to us with her mother and siblings and really enjoys cuddling with other cats. This little girl has spent her whole life in the great outdoors, but would much rather be inside helping you bake cupcakes and picking out a movie to watch. Squirt is playful, loves cat toys and playing with her feline friends.
