St. Paul’s Episcopal Church to hold Easter vigil Saturday, March 26

St. Paul's Episcopal Church will host an Easter Vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 26. The church will hold Easter services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The Easter Egg Hunt for children will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning. The church is located at Ninth and Oak streets.
North Routt to host Easter Egg hunt, breakfast Saturday, March 26
The North Routt Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26 at Vista Verde Ranch in Clark.
The event will include a pancake breakfast at 10 a.m., followed by the egg hunt at 11.
Attendees are invited to bring their skis and use trails at Vista Verde following the egg hunt, snow permitting.

The ranch is located on Seedhouse Road (Routt County Road 64) five miles from the Clark Store.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children or $35 for a family. All proceeds benefit the North Routt Preschool.
Emily Tracy meets with Routt, Jackson voters Saturday, March 26
Emily Tracy, Democratic candidate for Colorado Senate District 8, will be in Jackson and Routt counties Saturday, March 26.
The northwest Colorado District extends from Breckenridge north to Wyoming and west to Utah. Tracy will be at Coal Ridge High School Saturday, March 26, speaking to delegates at Garfield County's Democratic Assembly.
"It will be great to reconnect with voters all over Senate District 8," Tracy said in a news release. "Our senate district is one of the most beautiful areas of Colorado and is filled with a wonderful, diverse electorate dedicated to making their communities stronger and their families successful."
Tracy will attend six of the seven county assemblies.
"I'll be talking about some of the issues critical to our part of the state — water, transportation, agriculture, our rural economy, and the values that are the backbone of rural Colorado," Tracy said in the news release.

Safely discard illegal, legal drugs at event Saturday, March 26
Drug Take-Back Day in Steamboat Springs will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at Sk8 Church in Riverside Plaza.
The event will allow people to safely discard prescriptions and illegal opiates, and all those who participate will receive a new skateboard deck.
In addition, skateboarding legend Dennis Martinez, 1977 world freestyle champion, 1978 U.S. champion and star of the movie "D.O.P.E." will be on hand to discuss his new career as volunteer prison chaplain at Calipatria State Prison and a founder of Training Center, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in California.
Scholarship applications open, due by 4 p.m. April 6
The Yampa Valley Community Foundation online applications for 2016 scholarships is now open to all area graduating seniors to begin applying for scholarships. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. April 6.

Local group accepts item, clothes donations for swap
Steamboat Moms is now accepting clothing and item donations for its spring 2016 swap, to be held April 2. Official item drop off will take place April 1 at the Steamboat Grand.
Those who are unable to drop off that day are asked to contact Lori Biagi to make arrangements. The group will not accept items the day of the swap.
Items needed include boys and girls clothing for any age, baby gear, shoes, maternity wear, books, toys and anything else related to pregnancy/children.

Integrated Community in need of tutoring volunteers
Integrated Community/Comunidad Integrada is seeking volunteers for its adult and youth English tutoring programs.
Volunteers are trained and matched with either an immigrant student in need of academic support or a limited-English speaking community member, depending on preference.
