Slide into spring ice skating show

Jamie Jones has been competing and performing as an ice skater for 10 years. For her senior experience project at Steamboat Springs High School, she is producing “Paradise on Ice,” the Steamboat Springs Figure Skating Club’s annual spring ice show.

The show is set to feel-good summer music, and the show’s cast will be diverse.

Professional skater Ashley Clark, who is appearing on skating-related TV shows and has performed with “Holiday On Ice,” “Disney on Ice” and with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, will be part of the show.

The show will feature other guests, competitive skaters from the Front Range and 40 Steamboat Springs Figure Skating Club skaters who range in age from 5 to 18.

Some proceeds from “Paradise on Ice” will be donated to the Steamboat Springs Animal Shelter. A bake sale and homemade chili also will be available.
