Sledding accident at Howelsen Hill sends man to Front Range hospital







— A man was flown to a Front Range hospital Saturday morning after sledding into a parked snowcat at Howelsen Hill.

Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters at 3 a.m. were called to help the unconscious 25-year-old man at Howelsen.

Steamboat Springs Police Department officer Sam Silva said the crash occurred on the 70-meter ski jump outrun.

On Saturday afternoon, Silva said he did not know the local man’s medical condition.
