Sign-up for Routt County SERVES program deadline Sunday

The new SERVES Program, which stands for Success, Education, Respect, Values Excellence and Self-Confidence, teaches kids, age 8 to 14, about tennis and life skills. The program, which partners with the Boys & Girls Club and Partners of Routt County, with a focus on under-resourced families in Routt County, is designed to provide quality tennis instruction along with life and leadership skills.
SERVES classes will be held every Sunday from March 18 through April 29.

Alzheimer's caregiver support groups offered in Steamboat

The Alzheimer's Association sponsors free caregiver information and support groups in Steamboat Springs for those caring for someone with dementia, whether 24/7 or long distance.
A spouse caregiver group meets from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month, and a family, friend and caregiver group meets from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month. Both meetings are held at Rollingstone Respite House, 1500 Pine Grove Road.
These groups offer caregivers the opportunity to gather with others facing similar challenges in a safe, confidential setting.
