Rink open till May 11

Melinda Mawdsley

Winter is over, but hockey and figure skating don’t have to be finished.

The Howelsen Ice Arena is open through May 11, with ice time scheduled for public skate and drop-in hockey.

The ice arena will be closed from May 12 though June 18 so a new sheet of ice can be put in.

Before then, skaters can cram as much work in during the shorter hours the rink is open.

Public skate is $6 for adults and $5 for youths. Rentals are available for $3.

The drop-in hockey times are split between adults, women and youths, as well as ability levels.
