Property taxes due by May 2







Routt County Treasurer Brita Horn reminds county residents that full payment of property taxes is not due in the treasurer's office until May 2, according to a news release.

For those who have already paid the first half of their property taxes, which were due Feb. 29, the second half is due on June 15.

Checks should be made payable to Routt County Treasurer and mailed to PO Box 770907,

Steamboat Springs, CO 80477 or delivered to the Routt County Treasurer's Office at 522 Lincoln Ave.

Taxes can also be paid at co.routt.co.us/index.aspx?nid=211 using a credit card, debit card or echeck, though there is a fee associated with online payments. The fee is 2.95 percent for credit or debit cards or $2.95 for an echeck.

Residents can access their account by visiting co.routt.co.us. Under "Your Government", click on "departments," then "treasurer." Click on "property tax search," agree with the statement and enter account number, address, name or parcel number.
