The updated closure order is necessary to protect facilities and revegetated sites from any disturbance while construction is completed and ensure public safety as unmarked hazards may be present. The closure includes all motorized and non-motorized use.
In addition to the lake and dispersed campground, nearby Forest Roads 930.2b, 930.2c and 930.2d are temporarily closed.
The closure order extends through Oct. 30 as construction continues in the area to replace a dam outlet pipe in order to meet requirements from the Colorado Department of Water Resources Dam Safety Branch.
