Girls soccer team plays today
The Steamboat Springs girls soccer game against Palisade is at noon today at the Christian Heritage School fields west of Steamboat Springs off U.S. Highway 40.
Today’s game is the first home outdoor event of the spring for the Sailors, who have been practicing indoors or on parking lots.
Dudley Field, Steamboat’s home field at Emerald Park, is too wet for play, but the Christian Heritage School fields are ready, allowing the Sailors (6-0-1 overall) a chance to play in front of their home fans.
Steamboat has been playing its home games in Craig.
Baseball fundraiser coming to an end
Time is running out to participate in the Steamboat Springs baseball team’s spring fundraiser.
The Sailors are holding a drawing for a season pass to Haymaker Golf Course. Tickets for the drawing, which will be April 21 at the high school, are $20. Baseball is not funded by the Steamboat Springs School District, so the team is responsible for raising its operating funds.
