Police searching for missing Steamboat man

Steamboat Springs police are searching for a Steamboat man who had not been heard from since Saturday morning.

Randall Schwarz, 29, called his girlfriend on Saturday morning and said he was going rock climbing in Grand Junction.

The girlfriend planned to meet up with Schwarz on Saturday night, but she never heard from him.

Police tracked Schwarz’s phone Monday afternoon, and it returned a location in a remote part of Larimer County outside Fort Collins.

Steamboat police are working with Larimer County police to search the area.

Schwarz is driving a white 2001 Chevrolet truck with the license plate UHQ 321.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Steamboat police at 970-879-1090.
