Robert Earl Preator

Robert Earl (Bob) Preator, 66, long time resident of Hayden, died Thursday February 13, 2014, at Harvard Square Assisted Living Center in Denver. Bob was born May 24, 1947 in Madison, Wisconsin: the oldest son of Rodney and Sally Preator. The family relocated to Colorado in December 1949. On May 3, 1980 bob married Kathleen Janet (Frentress) Preator in Glenwood Springs. Bob and Kathleen enjoyed 23 years of marriage. Bob graduated high school in 1966 from Pueblo East High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1970 from Western State College of Gunnison. Bob pursued a 32 year career in secondary education; teaching 6 years in Peetze, CO and 26 years in Hayden, CO (Retiring in 2002). Bob is survived by: his father Rodney Preator, La Crosse, KS; a brother John Preator, Delta, CO; a sister Gay Preator, La Crosse, KS; and an aunt Mary Walls, La Crosse, KS. Bob is also survived by an extended family; most notable the Frentress', Epps, Rickmans, Paxtons, Cammillettis, Montieths, Yoasts, and many others too numerous to mention without excluding some. To all of you for loving Bob: Thank You. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen and his mother A. Sally Preator. Condolences or remembrances may be left for the family at grantmortuary.com. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 2, 2014 at The Grant Mortuary Chapel.
