Police seek information

on Tuesday rollover

The Colorado State Patrol is looking for information on an accident that occurred Tuesday.

A Jeep Cherokee reportedly rolled off Routt County Road 65, and evidence from the scene indicates that at least one of the occupants was injured. The state patrol has not been able to locate any of the occupants.

The state patrol reported that at 5 p.m. Tuesday, a red 1988 Jeep Cherokee was traveling westbound on C.R. 65 near the Seedhouse Campground. The vehicle, which was believed to have two occupants, reportedly veered left and skidded off the south side of the road.

The vehicle then rolled down a rocky, tree-covered slope, coming to rest on its top facing east and about 40 feet from the road.

A person passing by the accident notified the state patrol about 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Anyone with information on the crash can call the Craig office at 824-6501.

Nobozos seeks hockey players 30 and older

Nobozos Hockey is starting up again and looking for seven players and a goalie ages 30 and older who have some hockey skills. The team plays Mondays, beginning Sept. 8. Members will play six, one-hour sessions Monday evenings. Cost is $35 per person for all six sessions. Call Wayne at 736-2554 or sign up at the ice rink.

Tickets are on sale for the eighth annual Madness de Vine, a wine and international food tasting and silent auction, to be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 20 at the top of the Steamboat Gondola. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at All That Jazz, The Bottleneck, Central Park Liquor, Off the Beaten Path Bookstore and Perry-Mansfield’s office. Moose Is Loose tees off Sept. 24 at Sheraton

The annual Moose Is Loose Golf Tournament, hosted by Jim “Moose” Barrows and benefiting the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, will tee off at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort Golf Course. Five-member teams can enter by calling 879-4645.

Players seeks 12 angry men — or women

The Steamboat Community Players will be holding auditions for the fall production of “Twelve Angry Men” at 4 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday at the Seventh Street Playhouse, on the corner of Seventh and Aspen streets. The theater company is looking for 15 men, or a combination of men and women, to perform in this drama. The show will be staged Nov. 7, 8 and 9. Call 879-3254.
