Man seen dumping carload of tires: The Record for Tuesday, May 15, 2018

1:12 p.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a manager who said she wanted the officers to talk to one of her employees who she thought was having emotional issues. When the officer talked to the woman, they didn't think anything was wrong and put the woman in touch with Mind Springs.

3:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an animal complaint when a dog was seen in a car in the 20 block of Missouri Avenue when the temperature outside was high. Officers found the car was unlocked, removed the dog and waited for the owner to return. The owner of the dog was given a citation.

6:22 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who was seen pulling up to a dumpster to drop off a carload of tires. The man couldn't' be found when officers arrived.

6:46 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a vehicle swerving, overcorrecting, slowing down and speeding up at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Dream Island Plaza.

7:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who said a neighbor was being racist by leaving notes on the car, insulting the person's friend and attempting to provoke a fight.

8:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of two males who were physically fighting and had also been drinking in the 70 block of Anglers Drive. The fight was said to have started over racist remarks from the reporting party. A report was taken.
