Q. When did you move to Routt County, and what brought you here?
A. My mom moved here when I was 5. I graduated from Steamboat Springs High School, and after college decided to come back and make Steamboat my home.
Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken recently?

Q. Describe your morning routine.
A. Wake up, feed and walk the dog, breakfast, shower, hop on the bike and head to work.
Q. Has a book ever changed your life? What was it and why?
A. "Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement" by Dr. Kevin Gilmartin
Q. What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
A. Never frown. Somebody could be falling in love with your smile.
Q. What three things would you want people to know about you?
A. 1. I'm a huge Dave Matthews Band fan. Huge.
I don't take myself too seriously.
I always stand up for what I believe is right, no matter the consequences.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. First, an astronaut. Later, a chef. In high school, a band teacher. Now, I just never want to grow up!
Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and what would you talk about?
A. Dave Matthews, Miles Davis, Ronald Reagan and Lance Armstrong. We'd talk about everything — music, the state of the world, sports, life, goals, dreams, etc.
Q. Do you collect anything?
A. Wine. At any given time I have at least 10 reds and 10 whites on hand.

A. Kinemortophobia. Look it up.
