Lila Rider: Oak Creek/Phippsburg news for Feb. 21

Sympathy

First thing we've got is sympathies to family and friends of Louise McTava, who passed away at Doak Walker Care Center last week.

Visitors

Gerry and Giselle Miller were in to visit with Lila Rider, and Bettie Pierce has had family and friends in. Frances Wither's family and friends have been in to see her, and Carol Rickman has been enjoying family and friends in, too.

Marvin and Dorothy Shively have been having their son and daughter-in-law in to visit often. Darlene Cantrell has been enjoying family and friends in to visit with her, and Juanita Davis' son has been in to see her recently.

Good luck

Good luck to all those who have been discharged to go home after physical therapy. We hope to see them back here but not as residents.

Bingo jewelry

Thank everybody for jewelry for bingo. We had a bunch of new things to pick through Tuesday, and we're always looking for more jewelry and more volunteers for our weekly game at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Joke of the week

There were cannibals on a beach, a father and a son. They see a pretty girl go by and the son says, "Dad, let's take her home and eat her."

The father thought for a moment and said, "No, that's a terrible idea. Let's take her home and eat your mother instead."
